max ylvisaker (he/him) is an interdisciplinary artist from minneapolis, MN. his first appearance on earth was as a first grader in the band guitar party.

he is currently studying animation at MCAD, making lots of songs, & working as a freelance illustrator and awkward barista.

his visual approach subverts harshness with softness. it is about cherishing the parts of ourselves that capitalism tries to crush. it is transgender laughter in tyranny’s crusty face. it is whimsical resistance & ridiculous love.

he loves rats, bugs, rain, collaboration, caffeinated beverages, beavis & butt-head, distortion pedals, four-tracks, mini casios, taking photos of the sidewalk, risograph machines, banana peppers, love, & pigeons.
